Fine Art Galleries in New York, Houston, Ft. Lauderdale and New Orleans have displayed Aidi's animal paintings.
In December 2004, Aidi opened her first exhibition in New York, at Agora Gallery in Chelsea.
"Spirited and charming, painter Aidi Kansas' delightful canine portraits capture the very personality of each loveable beast as if it were human - one sees in Kansas' paintings the tell all gazes to which, usually, only a devoted pet's owner is privy. Kansas' works are lighthearted and humorous compositions that draw upon the design elements of pop culture with vibrant hues and decorative patterned backgrounds. Fun and insouciant, Kansas' colorful paintings blend her unadulterated love for animals, her enthusiasm for animal rights issues, and modern design sensibilities to create art that honors the invaluable relationships between people and their pets. Electric yellows, baby blues, vivid magentas and sugary violets bring these blithe works to life, visually elucidating the joy of a pet's companionship in everyday life." |
